Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in the environment—particularly in water, soil, and wildlife—is now of global, strategic importance. The “One Health” approach is central to researching and preventing the spread of AMR, as resistant pathogens and genes (ARGs) circulate among humans, animals, and ecosystems via the environment.
The Young One Health Forum is the central event for young researchers of the One Health Platform. It serves to promote networking and scientific exchange within the young One Health research community. The YOHF takes place annually at different locations in Germany. In 2026 it takes place at the HZI Braunschweig, Germany.
One Health research encompasses a wide range of research fields and thus also a wide range of different areas of activity and career opportunities. The Spring School 2026 of the One Health Platform is dedicated to various aspects of a career in the One Health context. What fields of activity are there? What skills are required?
